Tough Mudders!
We made it! Josh, Chris, Mike, Mark, Norm, Pete, Jake, Brad and Mark! I am happy to say that we all made the trek. For me it was one of the most challenging events of my life as I pushed myself further and further into the cold.
Survivability was on high alert as my muscles seized. Yet, I knew that there was still more to go. There were a lot of fears that were overcome by all of us that day.
CrossFit has taught me much about pushing the limits and what it is like to work as a team. Example taken. I am proud to be a part of CrossFit Camp Keyes!
Words of the Day
There is a new WOD available! It is the Words of the Day written by Lisbeth Darsh.
CrossFit Lisbeth is a repository for the CrossFit writings of Lisbeth Darsh, Director of Social Media for CrossFit, Inc. All use of the CrossFit name is by exclusive, written agreement with CrossFit, Inc. Everything here is a labor of love, totally non-profit and internet-based only. There is no physical location, no training, and no affiliation in the traditional sense of the term by CrossFit, Inc.
To the point: I found an inspirational writing (of many) and it struck home. I wish to share it!

Congrats to Mark!
We have a new coach in our presence!
Congrats to Mark for passing his level one exam in New York this past weekend! He has come a long way from the time that I first met him.
And he has used his own money to become a qualified trainer here at CrossFit Camp Keyes. Talk about dedication! He is at the gym most afternoons, so make sure that you congratulate him!
Fight Gone Bad 5
It is time to start prepping for Fight Gone Bad! This is an opportunity to show the world what CrossFitters can do to raise for some great causes: LIVESTRONG, Wounded Warrior Project and the CrossFit Foundation.
Lance Armstrong Foundation identifies and acts on the issues faced by cancer survivors in order to comprehensively improve quality of life for members of the global cancer community.
Wounded Warrior Project believes the greatest casualty is being forgotten. WWP provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
CrossFit Foundation provides support and assistance to the CrossFit community, the men and women of the military, law enforcement and first responder communities and their families in times of need.
You can help us out! We are joining forces with CrossFit 321 to make this a huge effort. Last year they raised $7000 with 40 athletes. Let’s help blow those numbers away!
If you can’t make it to the CrossFit 321 on the 25th of August, you can go directly to my fund raising page and support on of the athletes on the team
Equipment is in!
Hey all! We finally have some GHDs and C2 Rowers! I am sooooooo excited to be able to work with this equipment!
I would like to bring up an article about doing the Glute-Ham Developer Sit-up. Please read the CrossFit Journal Article in Journal # 38 from October 2005. This can be found at the gym posted on the shelf above the binders.
Have fun with these!
